BACK OF HEAD PROTECTOR

The occipital protection plate for fencing masks used in European historical martial arts.
It is the essential element for fighting in HEMA, engaged short blade fencing or combat kali or Tolpar knife fighting in order to benefit from good head protection.
The back of head  protector consists of independent hard plastic plates allowing a good adaptation. The plates rest on foam for neck comfort. Three velcro strips allow the fencing mask to be inserted and held on the tongue.
An excellent neck protector which, due to its rigidity, prevents - or reduces - the "rabbit's neck" in case of very violent estoc.
