Perfectly articulated panels of over 1 cm of dense foam cover the back of the hand and fingers. The fingertips are protected by rubber reinforcements forming a genuine protective shell. Safety is further ensured by special reinforcement on the index finger and at the index finger/thumb junction, areas particularly prone to receiving blows.These foam panels are covered by a second layer of plastic panels forming a rigid shell that enhances protection against impacts. The wrist, meanwhile, is covered by an over-wrap of foam with a plastic panel.The thumb and its extension are covered by a particularly welcome double layer of protection, comparable to the leather reinforcements found on certain high-end gauntlets.

Protection suitable for all HEMA fencing weapons

The ‘CUIRASSIERS’ combat gloves fit high up and protect the base of the forearm. However, a joint in the glove ensures that wrist movement is not restricted, for example when worn with a jacket.

The fabric of the palm and lining, often reinforced with synthetic leather inserts depending on the area, feels very pleasant to the touch but, above all, ensures a good grip.Please note that the palm fabric is available in black, red or grey. The Cuirassiers gloves, which are slightly stiff around the fingers at first, will, like the Red Dragon gloves, soften with time and regular care.
